Cedar Park Homeschool Network is a ministry to the families of Cedar Park Church. It is the intent of the CPHN to encourage biblical home education and discipleship, and inspire parents to pass on a godly heritage to future generations.
Activities throughout the year include:
- August: Family Kick-off Potluck
- October, January, & April: Mothers Nights of Encouragement.
- March: Family Potluck and Game Night
- May: End of Year Standardized Testing
Our August Homeschool Family Kick-off Potluck is exactly that… a kickoff event for our homeschooling year. We get together as families and eat and sit around and talk while the kids all play.
The Mothers Nights of Encouragement: Homeschooling moms from various stages of life come together to inspire, listen and share. We usually have a topic such as “Homeschooling High School” or “Teaching Character to your Children,” as well as our ever-popular “Book Share” night. Sometimes we have guest speakers, sometimes we are all speakers!! There is a wealth of information in our own group!
The Family Potluck and Game Night in March is always a lot of fun! After a yummy potluck meal, Pastor Rich and the dads (and many moms) play group games that are fun for young and old alike. Others sit around and chat, but the general theme is “eat and have fun!”
In May, we offer end of the year standardized testing. The testing is conveniently held on-site at Cedar Park and the fee is typically about $45.00 per child.
This ministry is headed up by Pastor Rich and Christy Haugo. Please don’t hesitate to contact them with questions or more information.
