Repentance Vergil Brown
Heavenly Father, I am sorry.

How many times has that phrase crossed my lips?
Undoubtedly, more times than I care to remember.
Nevertheless, I believe each confession has been heart-felt and genuine.
It seems that as hard as I try;
I cannot live up to the righteous life that You require.
That is why, I am ever grateful for the righteousness that You have given me.
I bring sinfulness in exchange for acceptance. Thanks be to God!

Lord, help me to live a life that is pleasing to You - a holy life -
a goal I certainly cannot attain in my own power,
but worthy of my wholehearted pursuit. Amen
