Intercession - Prayer
Requests
As a regular part of services at The Chapel, we open the
floor to share our needs, as well as our victories. Part of our
responsibility as a fellowship of believers is bear one another's
burdens in love. Items mentioned at our last service are listed below.
Let's remember to pray for these requests throughout the week.
5/20/07
PRAISE REPORTS!
- After much prayer, a cousin of one of our members gave her heart to the Lord and is seeing Him work in her life almost daily!
- A baby niece that had lung surgery is doing extremely well. Her prognosis is for a normal, healthy life.
- A friend in his early twenties who had cancer surgery a few months ago is doing very well, and going back to college.
- We had been praying for a very difficult job situation, and in a matter of two days three major obstacless changed, making everything fine. These were so dramatic and sudden, all glory is given to the Lord for His faithfulness.
- Someone had been looking for some important papers for several days. This gentleman surrendered the situation to the Lord for help, and almost immediately found them.
Please PRAY for one of our members and a nasty land dispute they have become involved in. They would like a quick resolution.
4/15/07
PRAY for a member's 10 month old neice. She is going to have 3/4 of her lung removed this week.
PRAYER was requested for the father of a congregant. He is going to have cancer surgery this week.
PRAY for the teacher of one of our children. She needs to be healed of cancer.
PRAY for peace and comfort for one of our familes. There has been a death in the family.
1/21/07
PRAY for a member's cousin to receive Christ. She recently moved to the area to be near family.
PRAY for a couple's son - he is having some legal troubles.
PRAY for a member's father. He went into the hospital with a collapsed lung, but now is being kept for testing and other problems.
Please PRAY for an elderly member who fell and broke her leg this week. Pray for a speedy recovery.
Please PRAY for a young lady in our congregation who has been fighting a disease. She needs encouragment and complete healing in her body.
PRAISES:
- A young girl in our congregation continues to do well. The doctors are taking her off her drugs very slowly, but right now things look good.
- A member's friend has had a miraculous recovery from his terrible internal disease. Even the doctors are calling it a miracle.
- Japanese Alpha had a tremendous first night. Everyone that was invited came, and responded well to their first exposure of The Gospel. They say they will all return in January!
- The cousin of one of our pastors had her second brain surgery today to remove the tumor. First reports are that it went well and the tumor was removed without disturbing any brain tissue!
REQUESTS:
- Please continue to pray for one of our families as they go through a difficult time
- Pray for our former pastor's family. His maternal grandmother passed away and this can be a time of real ministry to a family that doesn't know the Lord.
- A good friend that had cancer surgery this week. Pray that he has a full recovery and healing from this disease.
GREAT NEWS!! One of our
members has been offered a job in the company he most wanted to work
for. It is just five miles from their new home in Kirkland.
His wife says, "It has been amazing to watch God's hand and His
provision during this entire time, and the entire process in how
this was orchestrated. AMAZING! He even got some much needed time
off to help us sell our house and move to Kirkland, and now we are
both very close to both of our jobs and Jamison's school. Praise
God!"
PRAISE: A young man
really feels like the Lord touched
his throat after we prayed last week. He went to the doctor and his
tonsils were fine! PTL
Please
PRAY for a family in our congregation as they have a burden to
reach their neighbors and co-workers for Christ. They feel these
people have been put in their lives for a reason, and they want to be
sensitive to God's leading.
PRAY
for a father and son as they are ministering and working in Nicaragua.
A friend
of our church family lost her mom to cancer last week. Please PRAY
or the Lord's comfort for her in this time.
Remember
some dear friends as he continues to suffer with cancer. PRAY
for strength and absence of pain.
Please be
LIFTING UP our associate pastor's family in PRAYER. His
mom is in the hospital, and her heart just isn't working. It is
beginning to affect her other organs. The family needs God's strength
in this time.
PRAY
for a members sister - she is in a very troubled marriage and has
basically been kicked out by her husband.
Continue to PRAY for our outreach ministry, ALPHA.
They need leaders and workers.
PRAISE: A woman in our congregation had been suffering for
weeks after cataract surgery, and this week she has experienced a
"miraculous" recovery!
Please PRAY for a family member of one of our members that is
suffering horribly from MS.
Please
continue to PRAY for a couple in our church who have recently
moved - he is suffering with cancer.
PRAISE: We have prayed for a woman who is starting a Young Life
group in her local jr. high school, and it is going very well.
They had 28 show up at the first meeting and the principle of the
school is in support of the group.
PRAY
for the mother of one of our members. She is suffering with
a failing heart, and there is not much more the doctors can do.
PRAISE a woman in our congregation has many answers to prayer
regarding family issues and the selling of her home. Please
PRAY for her extended family as they deal with the sudden death of
her cousin.
PRAY for a couple in our church family who will be spending the
summer in Oregon.
PRAISE: We have been praying for an outreach that takes place
annually in Utah. PTL ten people gave their hearts to the
Lord, and two were baptized!
PRAY for a family in our church who will be spending the month of
July in France. They would like safe travel and
accommodations.
PRAY for the friend of one of our members who is suffering from
depression. She is struggling with the role of God in her life.
One of
our members has been suffering from whooping cough and needs complete
healing. PRAY that she will recover wholly and quickly.
PRAY for the mother of one of our members. Her mother was
scheduled for major surgery and it was postponed. They seek a
speedy surgery date and healing after the fact.
PRAISE: The breast biopsy we prayed for earlier came back
negative!
PRAISE: A young girl in our congregation with a long illness is
very well. All her levels are good, she is off the chemo, and her
kidneys are almost completely healed.
PRAY
for an Alpha leader tonight as he meets with a couple that aren't
pleased with the Alpha policy that everyone is free to share any
opinions they have without judgment. PRAY that the Lord gives
him wisdom and grace as he deals with them.
One of
our members is in currently in the Philippines working with a
team in construction on an orphanage there. PRAY for their
effectiveness and that Pat comes home healthy!!
A woman
in our congregation is having a breast biopsy tomorrow (4/10).
PRAY that the results are negative.
The
mother of one of our pastors is having open heart surgery tomorrow.
PRAY for her peace of mind, and that the Lord will guide the
surgeons hand so she will have a successful operation.
A woman
is being told she needs another surgery to correct some things that
didn't heal correctly from her first surgery. PRAY that this
is not necessary.
Continue
to PRAY for a senior member's complete recovery from a recent surgery.
A woman in our congregation had asked for prayer a few weeks ago.
She was having constant dizziness, and so was given and MRI. There found
abnormalities, and she subsequently went through extensive tests. PRAISE
THE LORD, her neurologist just told her there is nothing wrong!
She feels she has been healed!
PRAY for a couple in our family that are moving out of the area.
The man is suffering with cancer, and they need peace, strength, and
healing. They offered PRAISE that even in the midst of this hard
time, God is using this disease to help them reach unsaved family
members.
PRAY a member of our congregation who is feeling led into Junior
High ministry.
PRAY for a young girl who is experiencing anxiety regarding
having several teeth extracted.
PRAISE was given for the recovery of a member after knee
replacement surgery.
PRAY for a man who has an important meeting this week - he asked
for wisdom.
PRAY for friends and family of our members who are struggling
with having children., whether it be medical issues, or decisions
regarding adoption.
PRAISE THE LORD for those who have had successful adoptions
after being prayed for!
Please continue to PRAY for a man in our congregation who
recently lost his father.
Please PRAY for a member who is having knee surgery in
February. He needs to stay healthy and strong until then.
PRAY for a family friend who has brain cancer and is in a
coma.
PRAISE for a girl in our church whose illness has come back,
but her spirits are good. PRAY for her complete healing.
Please continue to PRAY for a man in our congregation who
has a long-term illness that the doctors are having trouble
diagnosing. He needs healing!
One of our members has been out of work, but had a promising job
interview last week. He asked for PRAYER for God's help and
provision. He would really like this job.
PRAISE was given for a change of the judge in a child custody case a
woman is going through.
A realtor that attends our church asked for PRAYER that he
would be given an opportunity to minister to a family involved in a
nasty divorce.
PRAISE for the tremendous response to the Alpha open house on
December 4.
One of our members reported a PRAISE that her wound from
surgery was healing well, and there is no sign of further skin cancer.
She also asked for PRAYER that she may be instrumental in
reaching her friend's mother for Christ.
Please PRAY for the severe asthma one of our members suffers
with.
PRAISE REPORTS:
- A university student that had bleeding on his brain is totally
fine!
- One of our members had been on a mobile heart monitor and has gotten
the report that nothing is wrong with her heart. Her daughter is
also off a very strong and major medication.
Please PRAY for a family in The Chapel that just lost their
father/husband to a long illness.
PRAISE the Lord for the way He has been with this family in their
time of grief.
One of our families has a grown son that just lost his job.
Please PRAY that he will find a new one soon.
PRAISE REPORTS:
-A prayer request for a job has been answered! A woman in our
congregation got a long-term temp job, and has felt peace and strength
from the Lord.
-A man we have been praying for during his open-heart surgery was in
church on Sunday and recovering very well!! He spoke to the
congregation of how he felt their prayers and how God is helping him.
PRAYER was requested for a couple that used to attend The
Chapel. They have moved, but need someone to take over one of
their ministries, because they are actually living two days a week in
their old home while they lead this ministry. Their prayer is for a
new leader for this group so they can actually live in one place.
PRAY for the grandson of one of our members who was recently
diagnosed with diabetes. They are asking for a touch from the
Lord in his body, and wisdom for the doctors. His parents need
strength, wisdom, and grace as they are now dealing with a second
diabetic child in their home. Both are pre-school age.
A student at Northwest University needs our PRAYERS for
healing. He has bleeding on the brain and the doctors are trying
to find out why and how it will affect him.
One of our former pastors needs our PRAYERS as he prepares for
some critical exams and interviews that will affect the future of his
graduate schooling.
PRAY for the new church plant Life on the Ridge. PRAY
for their staff and volunteers as they plan, pray, and raise money for
this new church.
Please PRAY for a congregant that had unexpected surgery on
Friday. He is doing well, but needs a touch from the Lord to heal
quickly and be relieved of pain.
A couple in our church needs a MIRACLE regarding the relationship
they have with their teen-age daughter. It is a very tense
situation with a lot of hurt and misunderstanding. Please PRAY
that there will be peace in this family
A woman in our congregation has several needs: she needs a job,
she needs to sell her house quickly, and she is struggling with the
custody situation with her children. Please PRAY that God will
provide for her immediate financial and housing needs, and that the
on-going custody situation will come to a peaceful resolution
A close friend of one of our members needs a triple bypass and valve
replacement in his heart. He needs encouragement and healing.
He mother has just been diagnosed with macular degeneration and needs
healing as well.
Please PRAY for a friend that recently lost her sister in a
helicopter crash. The family needs peace and comfort from the
Lord.

One of our members asked for PRAYER for a 5th grade boy he
knows who was evacuated from Mississippi to South Carolina after
Hurricane Katrina.

PRAY for one of our members as he struggles with a long-term sinus

PRAY for several in our congregation who are looking for guidance
and wisdom in inviting friends, family, and co-workers to the Alpha

PRAY for a family as they have had many opportunities to share
Christ with neighborhood elementary and junior high friends.
We need to pray that these young people will come to Christ/be

graduate work.
PRAISE/PRAYER
request: A little girl gave her heart to the Lord this week at
VBS, but now needs prayer as she lives in a non-Christian home.
PRAY for one our families as they have an un-saved young man in
their home this week. They want to be effective witnesses to him.
PRAY for a congregant with cancer who is undergoing treatment.
PRAY
for one of our members who is having back trouble.
PRAYER
is needed for a the friend of a member who is struggling with the
effects of long-term alcohol abuse.
PRAY for the Alpha group that is starting this fall.
PRAY for a young man who is in a coma and is being moved to a
health care facility.
PRAY for the daughter of one of our members as she travels to
Central America.
PRAY for continued healing for a girl in our congregation.
Many PRAISES have been expressed, including God's guidance
and protection over a recent missions trip, and God's help and strength
in a difficult job situation.
There is a lot going on in Israel, and workers there have asked for
PRAYER.
Please PRAY for a member's grandson and custody issues
involved with him.
PRAYER is needed for one of
our members who has had a setback in recovery after a recent surgery.
PRAY for the relative of a church member who needs guidance in an
adoption situation. PRAISE - even though the adoption did
not work out, this couple just found out they are expecting their own
child!
PRAISE for an earlier request - an eye illness we prayed for is
completely healed!
PRAY for a woman whose husband just died of Alzheimer's.
PRAISES:
One of our members felt his body was healed after prayer on Monday.
Clear direction was given from the Lord in regard to a mission trip.
A new job has been provided for one of our congregants.
Many praises of God's continued healing and work in lives.
Earlier PRAYER had been requested for a young woman who was
losing her voice permanently, regardless of surgical help.
Last week her mother woke up in the middle of the night with a word of
promise from the Lord, and Sunday she began to speak again!! It is
very soft, but they feel complete healing is coming.
Two members of our congregation have family members that need
PRAYER for serious eye infections.
PRAYER is requested for the father of one of our members who is
going to have a biopsy. PRAISE - the results of the biopsy
were negative!
PRAYER was requested for a 13 yr. old girl who had surgery for
a the removal of a cyst from her brain. PRAISE - the
surgery went well and she is doing well and back in school!
PRAY for one of our members who recently had surgery. She
is recovering well, but needs continued prayer for strength and healing.
One of our members has several friends who need jobs and homes.
They are trying, but are struggling. We need to PRAY for
provision in their lives.
Continued PRAYER is requested as one of our families seeks
guidance for their teenage daughter. There is opposition to their
plans, and they are worried for her future.
A congregant needs PRAYER as she seeks God's will for her summer.
She is a teacher and want to put her skills to work in the best way
possible.
PRAISE REPORTS: A member's sister has a clean bill of
health after battling breast cancer.
Many expressed thanks to God for care in their lives, even in the
smallest things.
A family is well on its way to being restored.
A family member is out of jail and doing well.
PRAY for a member's friend who would like to be married.
PRAISE - A young girl in our congregation has a long term illness,
and her test results came back positive this week. That means her
drug and diet regimen is working, and she can start decreasing some
dosages soon.
PRAY for the niece of one of our members. She is seven months
pregnant and fell, breaking both bones in one leg and has had surgery to
repair her leg.
Every Monday night members of The Chapel meet for prayer.
Join them!
Pray for safe travel for two of our congregants.
PRAY for safe travel for one of our members as he travels to
Turkey and Greece.
Please PRAY for as friend (Setsuko) that is struggling and
suffering with a severe illness. She has great faith in the Lord,
but needs healing and a break from enormous pain.
PRAY for the friend of one of our members who has experienced the
sudden death of a sister. There is concern about who will get
custody of her ten year-old son.
PRAISES: A new grandchild was born to one of our
members, a grandson returned from Iraq, and a family has moved into a
new home. All expressed gratitude to the Lord for His provision.
A member's daughter has had back surgery and needs PRAYER for
healing and release from pain.
Please continue to PRAY for the friend and spiritual mentor
of one our members. We prayed earlier in February for his cancer
surgery, and they found it had metastasized through his body. He
needs the miracle of healing, or he has only three months to three years
to live.
Also PRAY for a sister who has macular degeneration in one
eye.
Praise:
The Bible has been translated into a language used by Brazilian
Indians living near the Amazon. Over fifty years ago a missionary
gave his life trying to reach these people, and now they have the Bible
in their language on small disks that work with PDA's.
Remember to pray for the leadership in this country.
Prayer
is requested for the complete healing of a man with stomach cancer.
He is in his early forties with wife and four children.
PRAISE
for the happy placement of an child from Africa into a loving home.
Continued prayer is requested for one of our members who is
experiencing chronic back pain, and a homeless friend of one of our
congregants.
One of our members is getting married this Saturday, 2/12/05, and
his mother has become very ill and cannot travel. Please pray
that she will make and miraculous recovery and will be able to come.
PRAISE - she was well enough to attend the wedding!
Pray for a 75 year old gentleman who is a close friend and
spiritual father to one of our members. He will be having surgery
for pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, 2/8/05.
Pray for the sister of one of our members, she has a disease where
the body attacks itself.
Pray for a young girl in our congregation who will be getting
chemo this weekend.
A member of our congregation asked for prayer for a woman she
knows who is ill and has recently asked for a Bible - that she would
accept the Lord.
One of our members needs prayer for a painful leg.
Several members of our body are traveling this week and need
prayer for safe journeys.
Prayer was requested for Life Choices Northwest. They
desperately need volunteers to do this important work.
Please pray for a man who needs help in his business - he can't
run it on his own.
Continued prayer for a member in our congregation suffering from
back pain as he undergoes yet more medical tests this week.
PRAISE! An earlier request for prayer regarding a
lawsuit has been answered by way of a good outcome in mediation.
Please Pray for a member's friend who has been the victim of
domestic abuse.
Pray a member of our congregation who is recovering from knee
surgery.
Pray for friends of our church who's infant son died.
Pray for a person who attends our services as she looks for new
housing.
Pray for a young boy who has been diagnosed with leukemia.
Pray that he will respond to the drugs quickly and for a quick
healing
Pray for a first year teacher in the public school system.
Pray for her time in prep work, and that she may be able to
influence her students.
Pray for friends of one of our families as they seek after
spiritual things. They are returning to Japan and need to connect
with Christians there.
A couple in our congregation need PRAYER for some financial
matters to work out and fall into place.
A family in our congregation needs a miracle in their family
regarding one of their children. PRAY that they can adjust
to life together soon.
Pray for the brother of one of our members. He was just diagnosed
with leukemia and needs a real touch from the Lord.
Pray for a gentleman who needs wisdom regarding whether on not
to have knee surgery. He has made an appointment to talk about it
with the doctor and he needs to know this is the right thing.
Pray for a member of our congregation who will be vacationing
in Texas for the next two weeks. He asked for safe travel and that
he will be a blessing to his friends.
PRAISE - Thanks were given for the prayers of the congregation
regarding a families' recent trip and God's obvious protection.
PRAISE - A woman in our congregation came through her recent
surgery well and with no complications. She really felt lifted by
the prayers of our church. A thanks from this family for all the
help and support they have received from the church with meals and
visits.
PRAISE - Thanks to The Chapel for praying for a sister and her
residual pain after surgery. Recent tests show negative to any
further complications.
Please pray for a couple who's grown son who just moved home.
He knows the Lord but is not serving him, and needs to find help with
his ADD.
A member of our congregation just got a new job assignment that will
take all his time for the next month, and he asked for prayer for
strength and success of the project.
Please pray for a new mother that decided to keep her baby
instead of putting her up for adoption. She needs help and
guidance and the acceptance of her family.
A family has asked for prayer as they look for ways to reach out
to a lot of new neighbors.
PRAISE - a member of our congregation had asked for prayer for
a job and a place to live, and she now has both.
One of our families is involved in trying to sell a home and a
mini-van and ask the Lord's help in this.
PRAISE - the house sold before they left the church!
Prayer is requested for a family to be restored and that the father
would continue to grow in the Lord and return home.
One of our members has asked for continued prayer for her husband
who has separated himself from the family. He needs to return to
the Lord and to his wife and son.
PRAISE - One of our members has clearly felt the Lord is
calling him to be involved in an overseas missions trip,
and despite being ill and missing some deadlines, all is on track for
the trip!
Continued prayer is need for a family in our congregation who are
working through the adjustments of a newly adopted child.
One of our members has asked for prayer for her 13 yr. old niece who
will be left in this country while her mother and older sister move to
another country. This is a mixed-up situation and they need the
Lord's help.
A man in our congregation asked us to pray for a friend who is
going through a hard time in her life while she is living in a very
difficult situation and a culture that makes it hard to live a Christian
life.
An uncle has had a stroke and is drifting away from the Lord.
They are asking for prayer for him.
A member has back pain and trouble with his job. He has asked for
prayer regarding these things.
PRAISE REPORT - He received a promotion, and he doesn't need to
use his back as much in this new job!
A couple is asking us to pray as they are working through a
lawsuit.
