Vacancies - Pastor

  1. In the event that the Pastor resigns, the Pastor shall give sixty days notice to the Leadership Council  and the Pastor of Cedar Park Church. Exception to the length of notice may be made between the Pastor and the Pastor of Cedar Park Church.
  2. The Pastor may be removed by the Pastor of Cedar Park Church. The Leadership Council may make a formal request to the Pastor of Cedar Park Church that the pastor be removed.
  3. The Church will be notified of the vacancy at a time and in a manner agreed upon by the Leadership Council.
  4. The Pastor of Cedar Park Church will involve the Leadership Council in establishing a job description, qualifications, and profile for the position.
  5. The Pastor of Cedar Park Church shall include members of the Leadership Council in interviews and/or evaluation of candidates.
  6. The Pastor of Cedar Park Church will select a candidate and present the candidate to the Leadership Council. The candidate may be presented to the congregation. The Pastor of Cedar Park church is not bound by the consent, or vote, of the Leadership Council or congregation.
