Missions Committee: Function and Goals
The Missions Committee serves to facilitate the congregation's missions engagement through strategies and procedures which will be highly
effective in carrying out the Great Commission.
- The Committee's areas of responsibility will be that of world
missions. Benevolence concerns and church outreach
will be addressed in other venues.
- The Committee will recomend a budget for each fiscal year. The
budget should be based on the prior year mission’s budget and also
take into account the vision of the Chapel’s missions goals for
the new fiscal year. The budget should be submitted to the Leadership
Council for approval.
- The Committee may help determine where missions funds will be
allocated.
- The Committee will act as liaison between missionaries and the congregation.
- The Committee will act in ways that physically, spiritually and
emotionally support the Church's designated missionaries.
