BIBLE STUDIES

Know Him!

Dear Friends,
We invite you to seriously and prayerfully consider participating in one of the many Bible studies offered for women at Cedar Park. Our studies are informative and highly interactive, and we believe that spiritual formation happens best in the context of spiritual community; soul care is at the heart of each study. Our greatest desire is that you know Christ, not just know more about Him, but know Him!

It doesn’t matter where you are on your spiritual journey...whether you are new to the expedition or have been traveling for a long time, whether you are in need of digging in to deeper truths of the faith or simply seeking to know who Jesus is, we welcome you. Our studies are intended to reach every age and stage of life. What topics are you drawn to? What is your greatest hunger? Where is God leading you? As you make your decisions, we encourage you to pray for God’s direction and to be sensitive to His leading. We also highly encourage you to invite a friend, someone who could benefit from the teaching of the Word and walk with you and you with them.

You'll be renewed and revitalized as you explore topics including honesty, humility, repentance, grace, obedience, and others. Each engaging and interactive lesson features five days of individual study and optional discussion sections. Seeking Him is inspired by Psalm 69:32b “You who seek God, let your hearts revive.” Each week includes five days of individual study, questions for group discussion and interaction, testimonies of changed lives, and ‘Making it Personal’ questions and exercises. God says that if you seek Him you will find Him. What are you waiting for?

No Other Gods: Confronting Our Modern Day Idols
by Kelly Minter

Meeting Wednesday evenings for 8 weeks
7:00-8:30 pm in the Cafe starting September 24th.

Our lives revolve around our deepest needs and greatest treasures. Relationships. Family. Financial security. Private hopes and dreams. Most of our desires are healthy. Yet these longings can become passions we not only pursue, but worship. And while idol worship may seem like ancient history, we still face the modern-day equivalent, as natural needs slowly consume our hearts and minds, competing with God’s rightful place in our lives. So discover the freedom in surrender. The healing in worship. And the joy found in exchanging everyday gods for the one true God. Be a part of this powerful, life-changing study!

Facilitated by Anne McBee and Annette Millard. Workbooks available at the first meeting. Contact Anne at 425-402-9749 or annemcbee@msn.com.
