Knitting for the Lamb
Meets the third Thursday of each month 7:00 p.m., Room 209, High School Building
This ministry provides an opportunity to serve our community, to pray for the needs of others, and to fellowship and meet new friends. Knitters and crocheters of all ages are encouraged and welcome to join us.
Everyone works at their own pace doing what they like best. If you don’t know how to knit or crochet, we would be happy to get you started. Though we meet once a month, it is not necessary to come to our gatherings to work on projects to help our community. You are more than welcome to work on your own at home.
Two of our most recent endeavors are military afghans for the wounded American soldiers in Iraq, and prayer shawls for those with specific prayer needs. We have some patterns available for both of these projects.
Our projects have varied according to need and/or the time of the year. We have partnered with Union Gospel Mission, Teen Challenge, Life Choices, Special Delivery, and Operation Iraq. We will continue to serve our Lord as we seek new opportunities for involvement in serving the needs of our community and our church family.
