Cedar Park Students Recognized as National Merit Scholars
Each year a total of some 55,000 high school students are honored in the National Merit Program and the National Achievement Program and more than 10,500 of the most outstanding participants receive scholarships worth a total of $50 million for college undergraduate study. Last fall our sophomores and juniors took the PSAT test here at the school. 1.4 million students took this test nationwide.
Of the 1.4 million students that took the test, we have three Cedar Park students who placed in the top 50,000 nationwide and have been named National Merit Commended Scholars. These students are:Andrew Roley, Janie Kliever and Amy Lundberg
Of the 1.4 million students that took the test, we have two students that placed in the top 16.000 and have been named National Merit Semi-Finalists:
Amy Sturm and Emily Greenfield.
